'If It's Football, It's Vital'

All Eyes On Preston

Gary Smith has said he's hoping we take our Brentford performance into the Preston game and come away with another positive result.

Speaking to the Official Site Smith said he was pleased to bring our recent run to an end with three points, and now he's hoping we can get a run of back to back victories.

'After a pretty difficult run, you look at it and you are concerned where it's going to end. There was never ever doubt in my mind what the players were capable of and I don't think the players had lost too much doubt in what they were capable of achieving. Tuesday night was a terrific performance and one that we can draw on for many reasons to push us on.'

Smith says that Preston are a team that will punish you if you take them lightly, so he knows we have to be on the ball and play our game to ensure we get the result we want from them, because he believes the quality they have in their side shouldn't see them battling relegation.
