Westley - No Idea How We Lost That

Manager Graham Westley was left bemused at full time in the game against Notts County because he doesn't know how we didn't end the game with all three points.

Speaking to the Official Site following the very narrow and unlucky defeat, the gaffer was again full of praise for the players and in his mind, if we had come out of the game with a share of the spoils it would've still been a travesty given our overall performance on the day.

'I'm standing here wondering how we didn't get three points. I can't believe the game went the way it did. The players put in a lot of good work, a lot of good effort and the spirit to win the game was there for all to see.'

The manager adds that he felt the team were brilliant in midweek, and he couldn't fault them again this weekend, and whilst he more than admits that County made a game of it, and they had their moments in the game, he really did think we were good value for a maximum return, especially as their goal keeper was their Man of the Match on the day which for him, proves everything.

Plenty of positives again moving forward though and more to build on, bottom line is play like that regularly, create the chances we did in this game, and there is no doubting whether we will win more than we lose, and that has to be what we continue striving towards in the remainder of the second half of the season.
