Westley Looking For Two More
Manager Graham Westley has said he's scouring the loan market as he wants to add at least two more loan signings to our playing squad when the loan window opens at the end of today.
Having already added former player John Mousinho to our ranks ahead of the closure of the January transfer window deadline, Westley explained to The Advertiser that he was hopeful of adding two more but he didn't rule out a few departures either.
'If we can do two more bits of business that might free up a bit more to add that bit of strength.'
Obviously in outgoing news, Marcus Haber and Robin Shroot remains available for loan deals themselves.
'It's not disrespect to a player, a manager either does want a player or doesn't want a player.'
Referencing the recent move by Manchester United for Mata, who is a fantastic talent, but he wasn't wanted by the Chelsea manager. Not figuring in an individual gaffers' plans is not a reflection on ability or attitude.
'The lads that have gone from here don't fit in with what I want, that's just the way it goes in football.'
With our league placing that bit extra quality certainly wouldn't go amiss and the gaffer also said that he has huge hopes for our younger players in the future, but he has to focus on the now and hopefully the transfer window will help achieve that.
