Deacon Set For Return?
Club physio Paul Dando has revealed that he believes that Roarie Deacon may well be back in time for our last game of the current campaign.
The player has been out following an ankle injury sustained earlier in the season, but last week he had surgery on the problem and is now out of the protective boot he has been wearing.
Dando explained that if all goes to plan, he would expect Deacon to resume running work by early next week at the latest and then start working towards 'functional' movement such as twisting, paced direction changes etc at around four to six weeks, so if Deacon does well and is more geared towards the earlier timeframes listed, it's possible he could be back in time for a return to squad contention ahead of our last game in early May.
In other injury news, Dando also confirmed that Darius Charles, who has also suffered an ankle injury, may be in line to play a part in the game against Sheffield United on Friday.
