Lots Of Bonding For Andy

Lots Of Bonding For Andy

New summer signing Andy Bond has said that he feels the new look Stevenage side is bonding well in pre season so far.

Speaking to the Official Site Bond said that he was really getting to know his new team mates now and he felt that pre season training was going very well and that was being shown by how we are looking in the pre season friendlies so far.

'It's been a really enjoyable first few weeks. We started a fortnight ago with a whole group of new lads and we've all got on. As soon as we've come in everyone has just gelled together which is really good. That seems to be showing on the training ground and out on the pitch too where we've been playing well.'

Bond goes on to say that he feels manager Graham Westley has added well to the camp so far this summer, bringing in players of youth who want to forge a career for themselves, but also players with experience who have that game time that helps win points, so for him there's a nice blend.

There is of course the gaffer's winning mentality as well.

'He wants us to win every game which is understandable, and then take it into the league. It's also about getting through pre season without any injuries and getting minutes under our belts, then when the season comes we can hit it well and be up and running.'

Bond finishes his interview by saying that all players have goals and targets, whether that's a number to score, a number of assists or even clean sheets and he's got his own for the coming campaign but he's keeping them to himself, although he does add if he doesn't reach them he'll be disappointed.
